Beware Republican logic!

Illogical, counter-productive ideology punishes the majority of citizens, while granting preferential treatment to the few. Class struggle, conflict, and eventual revolt are unavoidable because societies unable to tax their elites inevitably decline. Those who seek to reduce or avoid their tax obligations emphasize the ineffectiveness of our system.

Federal aid to state and local governments to rehire firefighters, police, teachers and administrative workers, and to upgrade roads and bridges, would immediately reduce our 4 million unemployed by half, all spending for goods and services. Blocking infrastructure legislation is a destructive GOP maneuver. Roads and bridges are public/private partnerships — the government must be involved!
…snip…
Deficit reduction will naturally occur when more people are employed, paying taxes, increasing cash flow. Taxes in America, personal and corporate, are actually close to the lowest in overall tax burden of any western country. Reducing tax revenue is expensive, compounded by conservatives underfunding safety-net programs — ultimately squandering billions!
…snip…
The price tag for uncompensated health care for uninsured patients, including 8.3 million children, was $40 billion in 2010. From a purely self-serving viewpoint, this is nonsensical! These unpaid billions create higher costs for individuals and government, increased insurance premiums, and the probability of contagious epidemics. Bad business!
…snip…
Tea Party legislatures waste millions to purge voting records and/or enact stricter ID requirements after GOP primaries, combating a non-problem politically conjured by Karl Rove in the early 2000s. David Iglesias, a Bush/Cheney U.S. attorney, unequivocally debunks voter fraud, ‘… two years extensive investigation, I couldn’t find one case to prosecute.’
…snip…
Thousands of corporations profit selling services once provided publicly through local tax revenues. Lower taxes = less revenue = more privatization = higher costs, yet taxpayers think they’ve economized! States spend 2.5 percent more on a for-profit prison/halfway-house inmate than they do on a public school student!
…snip…
Cold-blooded ‘conservative’ politics have produced fiscal malfeasance … or is it the other way around?
